Vice-Chancellors from the country’s public Universities have called on the Minister for Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, in her office in Accra.

Both parties held discussions on some pertinent issues regarding administration or management on the various University campuses.

The Chairman of Vice-Chancellors, Ghana, Prof. Otoo Ellis, was pleased with the warm reception granted them by the Minister and expressed the association’s appreciation to her for the relentless role she continues to play to ensure that the country’s public universities function well.

The Minister, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who was also a former Vice- Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, was particularly happy about the outcome of the discussions and called for further platforms where better alternatives could be proposed on how to make education at the tertiary level better that it is now.

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Minister in charge of Tertiary Education, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as well as the Chief Director, Mr. Enoch Cobbinah.
