The Ministry of Education has fulfilled its promise by presenting Mac-Book Pro laptop to the final year female medical student of the University of Ghana who sustained severe injuries after she reportedly jumped from the top floor of a two storey hostel facility in Accra.

The victim, who escaped the possible rape attempt, has successfully been discharged from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where she was treated.

While on admission, the Vice-President of the Republic, H.E. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, the Minister for Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and her deputy, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, visited the victim at the hospital to wish her speedy recovery.

It was also evident that she lost her laptop through the incident.

The Minister for Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, promised to replace the computer immediately she was discharged from the hospital.

At a short ceremony at the Ministry of Education, the Minister, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, presented the laptop to her and the family when they called on her.

The father of the victim, Mr. Raymond Armah, thanked the Ministry for the swift manner in which the Ministry fulfilled its promise. He also commended the Minister and the Ministry for their pursuit to provide quality education to all Ghanaian children, saying the Ministry over the period had done a lot that did not necessarily come to the public domain.

He, therefore, urged the Ministry to continue the good work.
