The Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani, has called on contractors working on the first phase of the new Community Senior High School projects across the country to work very hard to ensure that the projects are completed on schedule.

At a meeting held in Accra, Mr. Bani asked them to be partners in the Government's desire to provide additional infrastructural facilities to enable Junior High School graduates get easy access to quality education.

He assured them of Government's support in making the project a success.

Mr. Prosper Bani also commended the contractors who have performed creditably so far and asked their colleagues to follow suit.

"If you do this project very well, you do it for mother Ghana. We are fully convinced that you are capable to help us achieve this together" he said.

"One of the key aspects of President Mahama's objectives and programmes is to secure quality education to our people. How do we get that quality education? It is through provision of facilities in making sure that our children have access at all times and everywhere. That is the only way we can guarantee a strong nation with the capacity to manage its growing economy in all aspects" he noted.

"What we are investing in today, is not about buildings, it's not about infrastructure, but it is the foundation upon which we build the human capital for the development of our country. If we don't do it today, we will do it tomorrow. Failure is not an option" he stressed.

The Minister for Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, said the recent unannounced visit to some selected project sites in three regions revealed steady progress. She, therefore, called on them to expedite action on the projects at all levels to ensure that the projects are completed on schedule.

The meeting was attended by the two Deputy Ministers, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Hon. Alex Kyeremeh as well as the Chief Director, Mr. Enoch Cobbinah.
