WORLD BANK OFFICIALS SATISFIED

A team of experts from the World Bank has ended an official tour to selected sites of the Secondary Education Implementation Project (SEIP) across the country for this year.

Currently under the SEIP, 23 Senior High Schools (SHS) are under construction in underserved districts with the rehabilitation and expansion of 50 existing and low performing SHSs.         

The tour among other things was to give the officials insight about the progress of work, learn some lessons for future projects and to correct bottlenecks for future projects.

A Senior Operations Officer and leader of the team Mrs. Deborah Miksell, in a meeting with officials of Ministry of Education after the tour expressed satisfaction of the observation the team made during the tour to the various sites.

She described as excellent the progress of works so far done and encouraged all levels of workers and participants to do more for the early completion of the project.

Earlier, Hon.Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Minister for Education, was grateful to the team and all shades of participants for the collaborative spirit exhibited so far.
