Elsevier Partners with Ministry


Elsevier, world’s leading publisher of Science, Technology and health information, has partnered with the Ministry of Education to enhance research and development in Universities in Ghana to strengthen and make research a center stage.

The partnership is on the theme: Creating a Partnership Framework with Ghana University to Enhance Research and Development, International and Visibility and Impact of Ghanaian Academic and Scientific Community.

Speaking at the partnership conference, the Deputy Minister in charge of Tertiary Education, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa welcomed the partnership between the Ministry and Elsevier.

He said the partnership will help raise funds in line with government policy of national interest.

Mr. J. C. Heyneke, an Elsevier representative stated how Ghana’s leadership recognizes Sciences and technology.

With its Scientific, engineering, workflow and decision support solutions for Research and Development, Elsevier goal is to improve research strategy and performance in universities in Ghana.

Elsevier has partnered countries such as Ghana, Nigeria and others.

The a research organization, Elsevier receives 1,000,000 articles per year, analyses 80,000 references to scientific articles a day and engaged with every research university in the world, as well as all major funding bodies, ranking agencies, and most of the world’s largest research intensive companies.
